Monastic Tour 2023 – Week One: Devon & New Forest

The “Nourishing Roots, Blossoming Branches Tour” started on the 8th May 2023 and in the first week our dear monastic siblings visited Devon and New Forest.

“We have just started and, at the same time, we have received so much from friends we find on our path. We are nourished by their kindness and generosity. We are also energised and touched by the energy of healing and transformation that we cultivate together, both monastics and the Manifold Sangha.”

Sr Presence, Sr One Way, Sr Samadhi, Sr Joyful Meditation, Br Inclusiveness, Br Mountain, Brother Resolve and Br Dharma Field offered a mindfulness day in Chagford, another at Schumacher College, and two more at Exeter (at Exeter University and The Friend’s House, which is part of the Quaker’s Church).

Last weekend over 200 practitioners gathered at the mini retreat at Foxlease in New Forest. Adults, families with children and Wake Up community, all had an opportunity to practice slowing down, nourish spiritual roots and cultivate joy of togetherness.

Today the Monastics are offering an Evening of Mindfulness in Brighton and will continue to Cambridge and the North. There are still some places available for the retreats in Hebden Bridge and Windermere, events in Durham and Day of Mindfulness in Leeds.

There is love, there is community, there is transformation and, more importantly, there is a lot of joy.
