Friday 19th May, 10am – 2pm
Please join us for this rare opportunity to meet monastics for a talk and interactive meditation event.
Four Buddhist monks & nuns from Plum Village are visiting Leeds as part of a UK&Ireland tour. They will share their knowledge and experience in a talk, and lead us in a guided meditation, an outdoor walking practice, and a mindful eating practice from the Plum Village tradition.
This is your chance to practise with monks and nuns from one of the most revered traditions of Buddhism, that of the Vietnamese Zen Master and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh.

Donations
In the Buddhist tradition Dana or donations are a way of showing gratitude for the teachings offered freely.
In this specific case we are fundraising both for Plum Village.
Read here about their construction fund https://dana.plumvillage.org/ and the Being Peace Centre in the UK https://plumvillage.uk/beingpeace/ .
We heartily encourage you to consider what you can afford (without depriving yourself and your family or dependents) as a donation at the end of this event.
We will be able to accept cash and have QR codes for direct card payments.

How to attend
Tickets
We offer a range of ticket prices. We ask you to consider carefully what you can realistically afford without depriving yourself and your family or dependents. Concession Tickets are intended for those who are unwaged, have a low household income and/or limited funds available. In offering a range of ticket prices we aim to make the event available to as many people as possible. If you can buy a Sponsor ticket, which is more than the Standard ticket price you will enable someone with less available funds to attend.
