Every first Sunday of the month, Plum Village UK offers a Morning of Mindfulness led by UK Lay Dharma Teachers, Members of the Order of Interbeing, Monastic Dharma Teachers and special guests.

Mindful Morning – Sunday February 4th 2024 | 10:00 – 12:00 hrs London Time

An exploration of teaching stories within Christian/Jewish, Buddhist and Islamic traditions; their similarities and their differences, each having a universal appeal that can be shared across all cultural and societal boundaries.

Colin Hodgetts

Colin was ordained in the Church of England in 1962 and has dedicated most of his working life to the charity sector. Serving as the Director of Christian Action, he established Tent City, a hostel for homeless women in Soho, London. In collaboration with Satish Kumar, he also started the London School of Nonviolence. Colin served as the chaplain/warden of the Othona Community in Essex and led Save the Children’s Vietnamese resettlement program. This initiative encompassed a school for Vietnamese teenagers and provided social work training for Vietnamese interpreters. Colin is the founder of Refugee Action and, for eleven years, ran an alternative secondary school in Hartland, North Devon. Apart from his charitable work, Colin is a musician, performing both folk and classical music.
