Building a deep and mutually supportive relationships with our beautiful Earth goes back to the time of the Buddha.
Walking meditation can act as a way for us all to connect with and be nurtured by the Earth, while eating meditation encourage us to consider how we are caring for the Earth in a sustainable way.
The Plum village community and Thich Nhat Hanh have been deeply concerned about the great danger our earth is in. We humans have exploited the earth’s resources, seeing the earth as separate instead of interconnected with us all.
In 1970 Thich Nhat Hanh was involved in organising one of the first international conferences on the environment and continued this work throughout the rest of his life.
