We are children of the Earth, we could not exist without the Earth’s continued love and support.
The Earth also needs our love and support, especially in this time of climate and environmental crisis. If we are to return the Earth’s love for us, we have to know how to love.
To love, in the context of Buddhism, is above all to be there. But being there is not an easy thing. Some training is necessary, some practice. If you are not there, how can you love? Being there is very much an art, the art of meditation, because meditating is bringing your presence to the here and now.
— Thich Nhat Hanh
This retreat will explore our relationship with the Earth, and how can we come back to living in harmony and love for the Earth. How we can maintain our sense of well-being in the face of the changes this involves.
The programme will include meditation, talks, discussion and walking in the beautiful environment of Wiston Lodge.
