Finance Advisor, Plum Village UK

Volunteer, unpaid

We are seeking a new member of our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee to help strengthen financial oversight, risk management and accountability across Plum Village UK and the Being Peace Practice Centre.

This is not a trustee role or full Board appointment. The role is to support the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee by bringing relevant professional expertise and independent judgement. The Committee works with trustees, staff, the Finance Manager, external accountants and auditors to support sound financial management and effective governance.

We are looking for someone who can help us ask the right questions, interpret financial information clearly, support good decision-making and help ensure that resources are used responsibly and transparently.

We are looking for a committed Plum Village practitioner with strong financial, audit or risk experience, who wishes to offer their professional skills in service of the sangha. Ideally you will have taken the Five Mindfulness Trainings and be part of a local sangha.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to bring meaningful professional expertise to a values-led organisation, helping steward the long-term development of an exceptional rural practice centre, while sharing a commitment to creating a sustainable, accessible and beautiful place of mindfulness practice for generations to come
