Living with Illness Sangha

The Living with Illness Sangha offers a safe and supportive online space for sangha siblings
who live with ongoing physical health challenges, including chronic illness, chronic pain, and/or
physical disabilities.

We gather together with the intention of cultivating a compassionate and respectful community—
one that is free from judgment, stigma, and unsolicited advice. Affinity groups give us the
opportunity to connect with others who share lived experience and to practice with the particular
conditions of our lives in ways we may not always be able to in wider sangha spaces.

Through our shared practice, we gently nourish joy, self-compassion, and other wholesome seeds
within ourselves, helping us to care for our suffering and transform it.

We warmly welcome all sangha members living with physical health challenges and/or physical
disabilities to join the Living with Illness Affinity Sangha.

Meetings

We gather online on the first Thursday of each month, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

We aim to make our meetings as accessible as possible. If you have any specific needs we can
accommodate, please contact us so we may support your participation.

Format

Our time together includes:

  • 20–25 minutes of guided meditation practice in the Plum Village tradition
  • 20–25 minutes of Dharma teaching
