“Stronger on Sundays: Kissing the Earth with Lama Rod Owens”

Creator, Artist/Singer/Songwriter and Colours of Compassion sangha member Melissa James introduces a new series of Stronger on Sundays and is joined in conversation by Buddhist Teacher, Lama Rod Owens.  At the height of the rising protests of 2020 – in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd – Stronger on Sundays was envisaged.  Melissa extended an invitation to herself and to others – encouraging the gathering of strength and courage in delving deeply into looking at the myriad manifestations of racial and social injustices and how they occur within us and our society.  This first session in this new series welcomes the Author, Activist and Buddhist Minister Lama Rod to share his reflections on how we can examine and better understand the insidious ways of racism, but with compassion for ourselves and for others.  Melissa offers her voice in song.  Participants are welcomed into the space and can register to attend this special session which is to be recorded and released as the first in a series of Stronger on Sundays podcasts.
