Nourishing Peace and Love – Online Day of Mindfulness

To mark the turning of the year, this online day of mindfulness offers an extended opportunity to connect peacefully and to nourish love for all beings including ourselves and the earth.

At what can be a stressful or lonely time of year for many, this day offers us the opportunity to join together peacefully to nurture ourselves and our connectedness. We can enjoy taking time out of daily life to be fully present and to specifically nourish love for ourselves and the earth.

This event is inspired by the practice of the Love Meditation morning sangha and Thay’s books, Teachings on Love. Members of the Love Meditation facilitator group (Elizabeth, Greg, Lorraine, Sharon, Vari)  will facilitate the day and share their experiences of nourishing love and connectedness.

This event is for everyone who wants to enjoy nourishing love together with others and to enjoy a peaceful day in connection with others.

Elizabeth, Greg, Lorraine, Sharon, Vari are experienced and committed practitioners who practice regularly with Love Meditation and are part of the Love Meditation sangha that has been running since May 2020. Vari is a Dharma teacher and will offer a short dharma talk.

Nourishing Peace and Love 

10:00     Love Meditation Session

10:45     Mindful Moves and comfort break

11:15     Talk on topic with contributions from love meditation facilitators on their own experience

12:30     Lunch break

14:00     Deep relaxation (with Love and interbeing theme)

14:45     Earth Touchings (from Love Letter to the Earth) followed by silent sitting

15:15     Dharma sharing groups

16:10     Final reflections, sit and song

16:30     Finish
