Playing With Words – A Mindful Writing Workshop
7 Dec 2021
All friends everywhere are welcome to these online Mindful Mornings, led by Dharma Teachers and practitioners from the Order of Interbeing and occasionally speakers from other spiritual traditions who support Thay’s teachings.
7 Nov 2021 - 7 Nov 2021
Zoom – online conference application
We are pleased to announce that our November Mindful Morning will include a talk by Rev Colin Hodgetts, an Anglican priest, youth leader and peace activist, who met and worked with Thay during the time of the anti-Vietnam War demonstrations. Colin and his wife Julia Meiklejohn went on to run the charity Refugee Action, supporting Vietnamese refugees to resettle in England, and Julia took members of the staff, including Vietnamese social workers, to Plum Village for spiritual support.
Colin has been a supporter of Thay’s teachings ever since, regularly practices walking meditation, and offers this talk to link in with the Christian festival of All Souls (31st October/1st November) and in remembrance of the Gunpowder Plot (5th November).
The morning will begin with a guided meditation offered by a UK lay dharma teacher and Colin will offer a Q & A session after the talk.
